West Feliciana 2024 Tornado Debris Response

Emergency Response

Rapid Response After Severe Storms

In April 2024, an F1 tornado struck West Feliciana Parish, toppling mature trees and generating massive amounts of vegetative debris. The storm left the community in urgent need of coordinated cleanup and recovery. Dynamic responded immediately, working side by side with parish leaders to create an operational plan, inform residents, and launch recovery operations without delay.

Dynamic’s Proactive Approach

Our project manager was on site before we received the official notice to proceed from the client. By the time Dynamic received authorization, our crews and equipment were mobilized and began work immediately. Support included:

  • Developing an operational plan for debris management
  • Establishing a vegetative debris management site for safe incineration and final disposal
  • Providing six double-loader trucks (120-cubic-yard capacity each) operating seven days per week
  • Launching a public outreach program to notify residents of pickup routes and schedules
  • Supporting parish-led broadcast and social media communications

Results That Matter

Dynamic removed more than 80,000 cubic yards of debris in just 10 days. Early planning, rapid mobilization, and efficient execution restored the community quickly and safely. Parish officials and citizens praised the fast turnaround and successful recovery effort.

Why It Matters

The West Feliciana tornado debris removal project demonstrates how rapid coordination between local government and private partners can restore community safety and normalcy after severe storms. Dynamic’s ability to mobilize immediately, manage debris safely, and engage directly with residents underscores our role as a trusted partner in Louisiana disaster recovery.
