Strengthening America’s Energy Gateway: Port Fourchon Slip D Bulkhead Expansion

Dynamic’s team was on the ground at Port Fourchon helping one of the nation’s most strategic ports build the infrastructure needed to support its future growth — and today, the Slip D Bulkhead Expansion project is complete.

Dynamic served as the prime contractor on this critical infrastructure investment, a key component of the Greater Lafourche Port Commission’s continued growth. Located at Port Fourchon on Louisiana’s Energy Corridor, the project expands and enhances vital port infrastructure that supports offshore energy operations, national commerce, and coastal resilience.

🚧 Project Highlights

Captured in the final stages of construction, the video offers a look at Dynamic’s crews executing complex marine construction in an active, high-traffic port environment. Work on the Slip D Bulkhead Expansion included:

• Installing 1,641 linear feet of AZ-36 steel sheet piling
• Driving 42,740 linear feet of prestressed concrete piles
• Constructing reinforced concrete deadman footings with advanced tieback systems
• Building structural support systems, marine tiebacks, mooring bollards, and a new 500-foot access road
• Completing site drainage and utility improvements integrated with ongoing port operations

Each phase required careful coordination, technical precision, and a deep understanding of working safely and efficiently in a critical harbor setting while maintaining traffic flow and operational safety.
